Praised for his “lyrical and energetic performances [reflecting] the human need to connect and share artistic treasures” (Strings Magazine, February 2018), Samuel Nebyu is building a distinctive path of artistry that has attracted opportunities and audiences around the globe. His most recent artistic collaboration with Anne Sophie Mutter and the Mutter Virtuosi brought him to Europe on a 19-performance concert tour, where he performed in great halls such as the Musikeverein in Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonie Hall.

An advocate for diversity in the arts, Samuel's debut album featuring composers by African Descent has been broadcasted in the USA and Europe, earning the album of the week on numerous radio stations. An avid promoter of new music as well, he has collaborated with Jennifer Higdon and gave a performance of her very own “The Singing Rooms” concerto for solo violin, choir and orchestra in Verizon Hall in Philadelphia. Nebyu also gave a Swiss premiere of Unsuk Chin’s Gran Cadenza for two violins with Anne-Sophie Mutter in 2021 and is currently working on a new commission with composer Tyson Davis to be performed at the 2022 Lucerne Fesitval in Switzerland.
