Art for Change Prize - M&C Saatchi Group | September 8th The prize is available to emerging artists based in the following M&C Saatchi key global regions: UK, Europe, Americas, Asia, Australia, and Africa. To apply, artists must be aged 18 or over and within the first five years of what they hope to be a successful artistic career. Accepted media includes painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video, or film. Submitted works must creatively respond to the theme ‘Equality’ and have been executed since 1 January 2020. A total prize fund of £20,000 will be split between six regional winners, five to receive £2,000 each and one overall winner to receive £10,000. All artists will exhibit their winning works in a dedicated exhibition at Saatchi Gallery in London, a recognized authority in contemporary art, where the overall winner will be announced on Wednesday, 7 December 2022.
Materials Matter - A Photography Competition by Textile Exchange in Partnership with Magnum Photos | September 8th The theme of our call, Materials Matter, invites entrants to trace everyday textiles back to their roots, reframing their significance in our lives. We are looking to partner with photographers interested in exploring the way we interact with materials, how they make us feel, and how they touch the hands and lands that help to make them. The overall winner will receive a commission to the value of £8,000 for Textile Exchange to document the stories behind some of its members as well as a mentorship with a leading talent from Magnum’s network of photographers. Two runners-up will receive a commission to the value of £4,000 for Textile Exchange and coaching sessions with a Magnum Photographer & Magnum Photos Education team. Applicants should submit at least one photo story (but a maximum of two), consisting of up to 25 images per story. They should also include an artist statement and CV
The Canadian Woman Artists' Award | September 12th The CWAA is an unrestricted cash grant and can be used in any manner the recipient deems necessary to further their artistic goals. In 2022, CWC and NYFA will be awarding three (3) $5,000 awards, one in each of the following categories: Visual Arts: Painting, Photography, Craft/Sculpture, Printmaking/Drawing, or Interdisciplinary Work Media and Design: Video/Film, Experimental Sound, or Design Literary Arts: Poetry, Nonfiction, Fiction, or Playwriting/Screenwriting. Open to Canadian women artists ages 25-40 living in New York State.
UMEZ Arts Engagement Grant - Upper Manhattan Cultural Council | September 13th A grant program designed to enhance the diversity and frequency of arts and cultural presentations in Upper Manhattan.
Financial Coaching Fellow - The Dots Between | September 14th The Dots Between is a financial coaching program for artists who are motivated to address their financial practices, nurture their relationship with money, and establish the structures that will support their long-term fiscal growth. The program is administered virtually for six months and offered at no cost for artists of any medium and career stage.
